About me
I am Marta Alfonso Perales, an official sworn translator authorised by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, specialising in English–Spanish translations for use in Spain.
Born in Madrid and now based by the Mediterranean in the Alicante area, my passion for languages started early — long before university, translating song lyrics from bands like Queen and Ace of Base. That curiosity soon became a vocation. I went on to complete a BA in Translation and Interpreting from English and German into Spanish, followed by a BA in Languages for Business in the United Kingdom, where I lived and studied for several years.
Having worked and studied in both Spain and the UK, I have an in-depth understanding of both legal systems and cultural nuances. I specialise in assisting expats with the accurate translation of official and legal documents, ensuring they are fully compliant with Spanish requirements.
